Taste of Randolph converges some of the Windy City’s Best in Food, Music and Festival Fun for one unforgettable weekend to benefit the West Loop Community Organization. Attracting massive crowds and always a favorite amongst Chicagoans, The Taste of Randolph is located in one of the city’s most famous restaurant rows-the Randolph Street Corridor.
Top-rated West Loop neighborhood restaurants come together with talented artisans and eclectic vendors for this three-day, cross-cultural celebration. Artisan and restaurant booths are intermixed along two the aligning rows that adorn six blocks of Randolph Street during the three-day festival. As festival-goers meander along the six-block stretch, they can also explore the various merchants selling goods. Among the many items offered by artisans are handcrafted jewelry pieces, clothing, artwork and a multitude of other fun accessories.
West Loop Community Organization and Star Events are pleased to reveal a few of the confirmed restaurants participating in this year’s Taste of Randolph. Some of this year’s notable restaurants, joining the prestigious lineup, will include: Belly Q, La Luce, Nicholas Quality Meats, Nonna’s and Tete Charcuterie. Taste of Randolph rookie restaurants, Nonna’s and Tete Charcuterie, already have Chicagoans buzzing, particularly Formento’s grab-and-go counterpart Nonna’s. If you’ve ever attended, you know just how amazing the food is and the full lineup of participating restaurants will be released in a few weeks. So far things are looking mighty tasty!
New elements of this year’s Taste of Randolph will consist of a Restaurant Oasis and ice cold Corona brews. The Restaurant Oasis will offer festival-goers the opportunity to sample one select food item during a two-hour time period. Based on first-come, first-served, those who are looking for a special treat can swing by the Restaurant Oasis. From noon to 2 p.m. and then, again, from 4 to 6 p.m. select restaurants will have a limited amount of their favorite delectable menu item up for grabs for eager taste testers.
Many talented artists have performed at the festival in the past including My Morning Jacket, Spoon, Drive By Truckers, Here We Go Magic, Califone, John Butler Trio, Divine Fits, The Joy Formidable, Milo Greene, Lord Huron, Greensky Bluegrass, Kaiser Chiefs, Delta Spirit, Minus the Bear, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Escort, Bear In Heaven and hundreds of others.
